Ryan Moore made a triumphant return to the Shergar Cup, securing a double and helping Great Britain and Ireland claim the team title. Moore, who had been absent from the competition for 20 years, was crowned leading rider with 47 points. His first win came on Asgard's Captain, who won the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Challenge by a length and a quarter. Moore then rode Archers Bay to a three-and-a-quarter length victory in the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Classic.
Great Britain and Ireland topped the standings with 81 points, ahead of Team Hong Kong on 62. Moore's individual haul was enough to secure the Silver Saddle.
The team's success was also driven by Saffie Osborne, who won the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Sprint on Red Spells Danger and praised the team environment, saying it brought out the best in her. Team Hong Kong had set the pace early, winning the first two races, but ultimately fell short of the top spot.
