In a nail-biting finish, the Southern Brave men's team secured their first win in The Hundred, narrowly defeating the Birmingham Phoenix by 12 runs. The Brave's victory, which came after a tense struggle to defend a modest total of 128, keeps them in the running for the later stages of the competition and draws them level with the Phoenix. The match saw dramatic twists and turns, with Jofra Archer, Chris Jordan, and Luke Wood playing crucial roles in the Brave's triumph. A series of quick wickets, including those of Will Smeed, Rehan Ahmed, and Donovan Ferreira, turned the game in the Brave's favor.
Marcus Stoinis was instrumental in both innings, bringing much-needed energy to the Brave's batting and later stifling the Phoenix's progress with his bowling.
