Following his impressive performances, England rugby star Henry Pollock is poised to receive a substantial salary increase to stay with Northampton, with his agent Eddie Hearn valuing him at a minimum of £1m per year. Currently, Pollock earns around £150,000 annually, a contract that expires next summer.
Since signing the deal in December 2024, the 21-year-old back-row forward has made his international debut, toured with the British and Irish Lions, and contributed to Northampton's 2025-26 Gallagher Prem title win. Hearn emphasized that Pollock's worth will 'skyrocket' in the next couple of years, given his exceptional performance and the growing value of rugby. In addition to his club salary, Pollock also receives approximately £150,000 per year from the Rugby Football Union as an enhanced elite player squad member with England.
Despite his rising commercial profile since joining Hearn's Matchroom agency in March, Pollock is keen to remain with Northampton. However, the club's ability to match his wage demands may be limited by the Premiership's £6.4m salary cap, with England fly-half Fin Smith occupying the marquee player spot. Hearn stressed that Pollock does not wish to play abroad, as it would render him ineligible for England selection due to the RFU's policy.
Hearn asserted that Northampton must recognize Pollock's value, as he drives season ticket sales, increases viewership, and boosts merchandise sales. The agent emphasized that Pollock cannot continue at the club on his current salary, and Northampton has been contacted for comment.
