Hearts, Rangers, Motherwell, and Hibernian have been informed of their upcoming European qualifying opponents. Hearts will face either Fenerbahce or Gornik Zabrze in the Champions League if they can overcome Sturm Graz, with the initial leg taking place on Tuesday and the return match at Tynecastle Park on July 25. The third-round fixtures are set for August 4/5 and 11/12.
If Hearts fail to defeat the Austrian team, they will be relegated to the Europa League, where they will play the winner of the match between St Gallen and Benfica. Their most recent Champions League qualifying appearance was in 2006-07, when they lost to AEK Athens in the third qualifying round. Rangers, who finished third in the Scottish Premiership the previous season, will begin their Europa League campaign against Jagiellonia Bialystok of Poland. A victory would propel them to the play-off round, while a loss would result in their first-ever participation in the Conference League.
Motherwell and Hibernian have also discovered their potential Conference League opponents in the third qualifying round. If Motherwell defeats Havnar Boltfelag from the Faroe Islands, they will meet HJK Helsinki or Coleraine from the Irish League. Hibernian will face KF Malisheva from Kosovo, with their potential next-round opponents emerging from the match between NK Bravo and KF Shkendija.
