England's Ben Earl has expressed his concerns over the Nations Championship format, citing the team's grueling schedule as 'brutal' after playing three consecutive Tests in different continents. The team, led by Steve Borthwick, concluded their 25,000-mile July tour with a win over Argentina, despite facing significant challenges due to travel and time differences.
The players, including Earl, Ellis Genge, and Ollie Chessum, had limited training sessions due to sleep deprivation and travel fatigue. Earl suggested that a more feasible approach would be to host the tournament in a single country, eliminating the need for excessive travel and allowing for a 'festival feel.' He acknowledged that the decision is not his to make but emphasized the difficulties the team faced, particularly after a long season.
