Following a brief hiatus due to injury, Jack Draper is once again working with coach Andy Murray. The partnership was initially announced in May, with Murray joining Draper's team after the latter parted ways with Jamie Delgado. However, Murray had stipulated that his involvement would be limited to a few weeks, with no commitment beyond Wimbledon. In an interview, Murray explained that he wanted to balance his coaching responsibilities with family life, including picking up his children from school.

Draper, who missed Wimbledon due to a bone bruise in his left arm, was set to compete in the Mubadala DC Open but withdrew due to an arm injury. His ranking has suffered as a result of the recurring issue, dropping to No 147 on the ATP Tour rankings. This may require him to qualify for the US Open in September.

Draper has not competed in a Grand Slam since last year's US Open, where he was forced to withdraw due to injury. He has since skipped the Australian Open and French Open. Regarding his relationship with Murray, Draper expressed his appreciation for the support and inspiration he has received from the three-time Grand Slam champion.

With Murray's guidance, Draper aims to regain his form and compete at the highest level.
