Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal has finalized the transfer of winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham, with the deal valued at up to £60m. The transfer fee includes an initial payment of £55m and an additional £5m in potential add-ons. This signing marks the third-highest sale in West Ham's history, following the transfers of Declan Rice to Arsenal and Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham. Summerville has agreed to a four-year contract with Al Hilal, joining notable players such as Ruben Neves, Karim Benzema, and Theo Hernandez under the management of Simone Inzaghi.
Prior to Al Hilal's successful bid, Roma had expressed interest in Summerville with an offer of £39m, which was rejected. Manchester United also targeted Summerville but was unable to proceed due to their focus on selling Marcus Rashford. The news of Al Hilal's bid was initially reported by Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio, with the club's offer being nearly double that of Roma's initial proposal.
West Ham, who were relegated to the Championship, is expected to raise over £150m from the sales of Summerville and Fernandes this summer. Summerville had a notable 2025/26 season with West Ham, playing 34 times and scoring seven goals, and also featured in all four of the Netherlands' matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring two goals and assisting two more.
