Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal has finalized the transfer of winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham, with the deal valued at up to £60m. The transfer fee includes an initial payment of £55m and an additional £5m in potential bonuses. This sale marks the third-highest transfer in West Ham's history, following the transfers of Declan Rice to Arsenal and Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham. Summerville has agreed to a four-year contract with Al Hilal, joining notable players such as Ruben Neves, Karim Benzema, and Theo Hernandez under the management of Simone Inzaghi.
Prior to this transfer, Roma had expressed interest in the Netherlands international, with a rejected offer of £39m on July 20. Manchester United had also considered Summerville but were unable to proceed due to their focus on selling Marcus Rashford. The news of Al Hilal's bid was first reported by Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio, with the Saudi club's offer being nearly double that of Roma's initial proposal.
West Ham, who were relegated to the Championship, will have earned over £150m from the transfers of Summerville and Fernandes once this sale is completed. Summerville had 34 appearances for West Ham in the 2025/26 season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. He also played in all four of the Netherlands' matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring two goals and assisting two more.
