Lewis was given a sin-binning for his tackle on Ewan Irwin, and although it was not caught by the match officials, he also appeared to headbutt Adam Holroyd. The Match Review Panel handed down a one-match ban for the late tackle and an additional three-match ban for the headbutt.
This suspension comes at a crucial time, as the reigning champions have fallen out of playoff contention, now two points behind St Helens Saints with eight matches remaining in the Super League season. As a result, Lewis will miss several key games, including the Hull derby and matches against Bradford Bulls, Castleford Tigers, and Catalans Dragons.
