Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal has finalized the transfer of winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham, with the deal valued at up to £60m. According to Sky Sports News, the initial fee is £55m, with an additional £5m in potential add-ons.
This transfer marks the third-highest sale in West Ham's history, following the transfers of Declan Rice to Arsenal and Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham. Summerville has agreed to a four-year contract with Al Hilal, joining notable players like Ruben Neves, Karim Benzema, and Theo Hernandez under the management of Simone Inzaghi.
Roma had expressed interest in the Netherlands international, but their offer of £39m was rejected on July 20. Manchester United also targeted Summerville but was unable to proceed with negotiations until after Marcus Rashford's sale. The news of Al Hilal's bid for Summerville was initially reported by Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio, and the Saudi club's offer, nearly double Roma's initial proposal, was quickly accepted by West Ham.
With this sale, West Ham, who were relegated to the Championship, will have raised over £150m from the transfers of Summerville and Fernandes this summer. Summerville played 34 games for West Ham in the 2025/26 season, scoring seven goals and assisting five more.
He also featured in all four of the Netherlands' matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring two goals and assisting two more.
