American golfer Jerry Kelly secured a two-shot victory at the ISPS HANDA Senior Open in Gleneagles, earning his third major title on the PGA Tour Champions. Kelly, a two-time Senior Players Championship winner, sealed his victory with a birdie on the final hole after recovering from a greenside bunker. His final-round score of 68 included three birdies on the front nine and two bogeys, finishing with a total score of 10 under par. Kelly's triumph has also earned him a spot at the 155th Open at St Andrews next year.
'The senior Claret Jug is the most coveted trophy for an over-50 golfer, and to win it in Scotland, the home of golf, is truly speechless,' Kelly said. Cameron Percy, who shared the lead with Kelly after 54 holes, finished in a tie for second place with Darren Fichardt and Matt Gogel after carding an even-par round. Meanwhile, Scotland's Stephen Gallacher recorded the round of the day with an impressive eight-under 62, finishing in fifth place overall.
