West Ham United has secured a significant agreement with Al Hilal for the transfer of Crysencio Summerville. According to Sky Sports News, the total package is valued at £60m, comprising a guaranteed fee of £55m plus £5m in potential add-ons.
Roma had been pursuing a deal with West Ham for the Netherlands international but was outbid by Al Hilal's substantial offer, which was nearly double Roma's initial proposal of £39m. Following the rejection of Roma's bid, West Ham quickly accepted Al Hilal's offer.
It is reported that Roma will not increase their bid to match Al Hilal's and are instead exploring alternative targets. If the transfer is completed, Summerville will become the third-highest sale in West Ham's history, after Declan Rice and Mateus Fernandes. The Hammers, who were relegated to the Championship, will have generated over £150m from the sales of Summerville and Fernandes this summer.
Manchester United had also shown interest in Summerville, but their pursuit was contingent upon the sale of Marcus Rashford, which did not materialize. Summerville had a notable season with West Ham in 2025/26, featuring in 34 games and scoring seven goals with five assists. He also played a crucial role in the Netherlands' 2026 World Cup campaign, scoring two goals and providing two assists in all four matches.
