Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal has finalized the transfer of winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham, with the deal valued at up to £60m. The transfer fee includes an initial payment of £55m and an additional £5m in potential add-ons. This sale marks the third-highest in West Ham's history, following the transfers of Declan Rice to Arsenal and Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham. Summerville has agreed to a four-year contract with Al Hilal, joining notable players such as Ruben Neves, Karim Benzema, and Theo Hernandez under the management of Simone Inzaghi.
Roma had previously expressed interest in the Netherlands international, submitting a £39m offer that was rejected on July 20. Manchester United also targeted Summerville but were unable to proceed with negotiations until after the sale of Marcus Rashford. The news of Al Hilal's late bid for Summerville was initially reported by Sky in Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio, with the Saudi club's offer being nearly double Roma's initial proposal and quickly accepted by West Ham. The transfer will significantly contribute to West Ham's revenue, with the club expected to raise over £150m from the sales of Summerville and Fernandes this summer.
Summerville played 34 matches for West Ham in the 2025/26 season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. He also participated in all four of the Netherlands' matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring two goals and assisting two more.
