Last week, the PING Europe apparel crew joined us at the Chevron Championship for the inaugural fitting session of the upcoming player and caddie uniforms. Over the past three Solheim Cups we have partnered closely with PING Europe, which has streamlined the fitting process considerably. Their team is receptive to our feedback, constantly tweaking silhouettes, fabrics, and colour palettes to meet our preferences.
While the final wardrobe will remain a surprise until the squads arrive in the Netherlands, I was given a privileged look at the accessories we have selected, the materials we have approved, and the colour schemes that will dominate the event. In addition to the standard attire, we have been brainstorming a few playful extras that will add a touch of personality to the overall look. We are also putting the finishing touches on the official ensembles for the Gala Dinner, which is set for Wednesday of Solheim Cup week, as well as the outfits we will wear during the Opening Ceremony. Both occasions call for a slightly more formal aesthetic, and we are collaborating with a Dutch design firm to ensure the garments reflect the host nation’s style while still embodying the spirit of Team Europe.

I spend a great deal of time in Zoom meetings, discussing details with players, caddies, and the broader support staff. The Solheim Cup has become such a focal point that it is rare to have a conversation without the tournament being mentioned at least once.
Balancing my responsibilities on the tour with the duties of captain has been a demanding juggling act. Fortunately, I have received unwavering support from the Ladies European Tour, the LPGA, and my management team, all of whom have helped me navigate this dual role. Being on this journey alongside the athletes is precisely why I volunteered for the captaincy. Whenever I am paired with a European player during practice rounds, I feel like I have the best seat in the house—right inside the ropes—allowing me to observe their game up close and forge stronger personal connections.
