The gates of Ripon open for seven exciting races on Silver Trophy day, broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing at 4:10 pm. Owners Fitri and Jim Hay have a strong chance with Seven Questions and Dyonisos, both competing in the Ripon Silver Sprint Trophy Handicap. Seven Questions, trained by Robert Cowell, ran a notable third on his return at Pontefract, and a similar performance could secure a spot in the frame, especially with the 1lb weight drop.
Dyonisos, trained by Ian Williams, finished runner-up on his seasonal debut at Newmarket and is expected to perform better in this race under Luke Morris. Amie Waugh will ride Vince L'Amour, who could be a contender if he improves from his previous runner-up effort at Musselburgh. Other notable horses include Castan, who won at Southwell, and Dream Composer, whose weights have significantly dropped.
The M.C.H. Hutchinson Memorial Trophy Handicap also promises to be an exciting event, with Stressfree and Prydwen facing off in a small but select field. Stressfree was last seen finishing fifth in the November Handicap at Doncaster and has only risen 4lbs since his win at Haydock in May.
Prydwen, trained by George Scott, has won ten times and ran a solid race in the All-Weather Easter Plate Marathon. Meanwhile, at Doncaster, Naga and Golden Muse lead a field of seven in the British Stallion Studs EBF Premier Fillies' Handicap.
Naga, trained by John and Thady Gosden, has won two of his last three starts and could extend his winning record in handicap company. Golden Muse seeks a hat-trick after wins at Wolverhampton and Southwell, and her opening mark of 80 may underestimate her abilities.
