Tuesday's racing action features high-quality events on both sides of the English Channel, with the Sky Sports Racing team covering meetings at Chantilly, Yarmouth, Southwell, and Lingfield. The highlight of the day is set to be the Listed Prix de Suresnes at Chantilly, where five contenders are scheduled to compete, including Montreal and Dolmalan, both of whom are entered in the Prix du Jockey Club. Last year's Prix de Suresnes produced several notable performers, including Nitoi, Leffard, and Azimpour, who went on to compete in the Prix du Jockey Club, and New Ground, who participated in the Epsom Derby.
Juwelier, who finished fifth, went on to place second in the Saratoga Derby. Dolmalan, owned by Aga Khan Studs, has won both of his starts and is coming off a victory at Chantilly. Montreal, trained by Aidan O'Brien, is an intriguing contender, currently priced at 16/1 for the Betfred Derby. Martagny, who represents the same owners as Leffard, has the most experience in the field, with two wins to his name.
Lady Mariko, who won at Kempton last time out, will attempt to overcome a 6lb rise in the weights. The rest of the field appears to be out of form, but Bridget's View, rated 86, has some interesting form lines, including a win in December where she defeated Stateira, who later won at All-Weather Finals Day. The Follow @attheraces On Instagram Handicap features Eternal Solace, who has only run eight times and is still unexposed. She has won two of her starts, including one over today's course and distance, and has been in good form recently, finishing second in the All-Weather 3-Year-Old Championships at Newcastle.
Bone Marra, who is up 5lb for his win at Wolverhampton in November, is expected to progress after a winter break. Comprador, a full-brother to Trillium, who won the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster, will be making his handicap debut and is an interesting contender.
