Welsh rugby legend George North has revealed that he will be retiring from the sport at the end of the current season. North, 34, made his debut for Wales as a teenager back in 2010 and went on to have a storied career with teams such as Scarlets, Northampton Saints, and Ospreys, as well as the French side Provence. He also had a successful international career, earning 121 caps for Wales and touring with the British and Irish Lions on two occasions.
North is third on the all-time list for men's appearances for Wales and is second on the list for try scorers with 47 tries. In a video announcement, North expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, and fans, stating that he feels it is the right time to retire and that he is excited to see what the future holds.
He thanked everyone for their support over the years, saying it has meant the world to him.
