As I share my second Captain's Corner, I invite you to join me on my journey as the European Solheim Cup Captain, leading up to the event in the Netherlands on September 7-13. The season is in full swing, and we've just wrapped up the first major, The Chevron Championship, in Texas, where many of our European players delivered impressive performances.

The early part of the season has seen some shifts in the Rolex Rankings, with various players showcasing their skills, making it exciting to watch the team take shape as we approach the remaining four majors, where points will be even more valuable. We recently had the opportunity to work with the PING Europe apparel team at The Chevron Championship for the initial player and caddie clothes fitting. Having collaborated with them for the past three Solheim Cups, the process was seamless, and they were receptive to our feedback, allowing us to refine the fits and styles to our liking. Although the outfits will remain a surprise for the players and caddies until they arrive in the Netherlands, I had a sneak peek at the accessories, materials, and colors we've chosen, as well as some other fun surprises in the works.

We're currently finalizing our official attire for the Gala Dinner on Wednesday of the Solheim Cup week, as well as our outfits for the Opening Ceremony, in partnership with a Dutch company. I'm eager to see the players' reactions, and I can assure some of them, including my vice-captains Mel and Carro, that we won't be having a dress this year. Behind the scenes, I'm engaged in ongoing conversations with players, caddies, and the support team, with Zoom becoming an essential tool for me.

Everyone is thrilled that it's a Solheim Cup year, and it's rare for me to have a conversation without the topic being mentioned. Balancing my playing career and captaincy has been challenging, but I've been fortunate to have support from the LET, LPGA, and my management company. Being on this journey alongside the players is why I took on this role, and it's been incredible to watch them up close and get to know them better.
