DeChambeau expressed his disappointment, stating he didn't want the week to end like this and wished his team, the Crushers, a strong finish. He plans to get evaluated and hopes to be ready for LIV Golf Virginia. This withdrawal comes amidst uncertainty surrounding the LIV Golf League's future, with reports suggesting the Saudi Public Investment Fund may end its financial support. Despite this, LIV chief executive Scott O'Neil stated that the league is funded through the season and will work to keep going.
DeChambeau's withdrawal led to Mexico's Luis Carrera replacing him in the Crushers GC lineup for the final round, where Jon Rahm led the field.
