Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarrell Quansah has stated that his decision to leave Liverpool for the German club was straightforward. The 23-year-old made the move last summer in a £35m deal, seeking more playing time after coming through Liverpool's academy and making 58 appearances for the first team. Quansah signed a five-year contract with Leverkusen and has since made 38 appearances this season.
He cited the Leverkusen management's clear plan and detailed understanding of his abilities as key factors in his decision. Quansah expressed his desire to play at the top level, including in the Champions League, and is now focused on making England's World Cup squad.
After withdrawing from the latest selection due to a thigh injury, Quansah aims to 'attack' the remaining games of the season to prove himself.
