Following a thrilling 10-round battle, Ellie Scotney emerged victorious against Mayelli Flores on Easter Sunday, claiming a unanimous decision victory that unified all four major world titles at super-bantamweight. This achievement makes her Britain's youngest undisputed champion in the four-belt era. Scotney described her clash with Flores as 'ridiculous,' with both fighters throwing punches at an incredible rate.
Despite facing numerous challenges in her training camp, including a torn calf muscle, Scotney persevered and ultimately prevailed in one of the most epic fights of the year. With her ambition still burning bright, Scotney is now considering a move up to featherweight, where she could face off against champions like Amanda Serrano, Tiara Brown, or Nina Meinke.
'I'm always looking for a challenge, and that usually comes with a champion,' Scotney said. 'I'd love to go straight into another world title fight – it's what drives me.'
