Nelly Korda continues to hold a commanding five-stroke lead at the Chevron Championship heading into the final round, despite a less spectacular third round. Following her record-breaking opening two rounds, where she carded consecutive 65s, Korda shot a 70 on Saturday to move to 16 under par. Her closest competitor, Thailand's Patty Tavatanakit, narrowed the gap by one stroke with a 69, placing her at 11 under. China's Ruoning Yin made a significant move with a 66, but remains six strokes behind Korda at 10 under.
English golfers Charley Hull and Lottie Woad showed improvement but are still far behind. Korda is on the verge of her second Chevron title in three years, which would propel her to the top of the world rankings. "I had a great front nine, but after missing a putt on the eighth hole, my game slowed down," Korda reflected.
"All my missed putts were to the right, so I plan to work on that before the final round. I just need to reset and hope it goes my way tomorrow." The final round of the Chevron Championship will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Golf, starting at 7pm on Sunday.
