According to Sky Sports Tennis analyst Laura Robson, British tennis player Jack Draper should avoid competing in the French Open without sufficient practice, as he recovers from a knee injury. Draper recently withdrew from upcoming ATP events in Madrid and Rome due to the injury.
Robson believes that Draper's caution is a positive sign, considering his history of elbow issues that kept him out of the game for most of the 2025 season. Draper is now focusing on recovering and aims to participate in events in Hamburg or Geneva before the French Open to get some much-needed practice.
Meanwhile, fellow British tennis player Emma Raducanu has also withdrawn from the Madrid Open as she continues to recover from post-viral symptoms. Raducanu is back in training and hopes to play in Rome at the start of May. Robson noted that Raducanu's current coaching situation is not a concern, as her priority is to regain full fitness and practice consistently.
