He is teamed up with seasoned endurance driver Lucas Auer, nephew of former F1 driver Gerhard Berger, in the Red Bull-livered Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Verstappen Racing, competing in a 37-strong GT3 field at the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie. This will be Verstappen's fourth time racing in GT3 machinery in the NLS, having previously won on his debut last September in a Ferrari 296 GT3 alongside Britain's Chris Lulham. On his return to NLS action last month, he and his teammates finished first but were later disqualified due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.
