In a bid to enhance their performance and innovation, Red Bull has unveiled significant changes to their technical department. Ben Waterhouse, a key figure in the team since 2017, has been promoted to chief performance and design engineer, overseeing an expanded leadership role and reporting directly to Technical Director Pierre Wache. This move aims to fortify the integration between design and vehicle performance, accelerating the development of high-performing solutions. Additionally, Andrea Landi is set to join the team on July 1 as head of performance, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his time at Racing Bulls and Ferrari.

Landi will report to Waterhouse, marking a strategic move to bolster the team's technical capabilities. These changes underscore Red Bull's commitment to nurturing internal talent while attracting top expertise from across the sport. Following a challenging start to the new era of F1 regulations, with the team currently sixth in the Constructors' Championship, these adjustments are seen as crucial to their long-term technical ambitions.

The team has faced significant departures of key staff members to rival teams in recent years, including the impending loss of Gianpiero Lambiase to McLaren in 2028.
