Hull KR dominated Toulouse with eight tries, earning their third consecutive win in the Betfred Super League with a resounding 46-0 victory. Elliot Minchella scored early for the visitors, and although one of his tries was disallowed, Rhyse Martin made it 12-0 after Toulouse failed to handle a high kick from Mikey Lewis. The Rovers doubled their lead with tries on either side of halftime, first with Tyrone May setting up Dean Hadley, then Joe Burgess scoring three minutes into the second half to make it 24-0.
As the game wore on, things became increasingly difficult for the hosts, with last year's Grand Final winners scoring their fifth try. Lewis easily broke through the Toulouse line and set up hooker Jez Litten for a try.
The away team showed no mercy, capitalizing on Toulouse's attempt to spread the ball left, with Peta Hiku intercepting a pass and running the length of the field to score. Lewis then set up Jai Whitbread for Rovers' seventh try, and Burgess added his second to cap off a dominant performance, condemning Toulouse to their sixth consecutive defeat. Meanwhile, Leigh returned to winning ways in the Betfred Super League with a hard-fought 18-6 victory over York.
Adrian Lam's side had won only one of their last four matches in all competitions before emerging victorious at the LNER Community Stadium, a result that could prove pivotal in their campaign. Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a exchanged tries in the first half, with Adam Cook's penalty giving the visitors an 8-6 lead at halftime. Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke scored in the second half to help the Leopards secure the win and climb to 10th in the table.
Both teams had two wins from their opening seven games before kickoff, with the Knights one spot above their opponents in 12th place due to a better points difference. Injury-hit Leigh welcomed back some of their injured players for the trip to North Yorkshire, including former York winger AJ Towse, who made a brilliant last-ditch tackle to deny Scott Galeano before the away team took the lead. Leigh thought they had their second score, but it was disallowed for offside, galvanizing the hosts, who leveled the score through Va'a's powerful drive.
York's try scorer was sin-binned for a shoulder charge, allowing Cook to regain the lead for the Leopards. The second half saw few clear-cut chances before Towse had a chance to score, but a covering challenge managed to dislodge the ball. This sparked Leigh into life, and they grabbed their second try after Charnley crossed in the right corner.
Alick-Wiencke then barged past the home defense to record his side's third try, with Cook adding his third kick to put the visitors 18-6 up. Paul Vaughan was held up short on the away try-line as York fought for a way back into the match, but they ultimately fell to a fifth successive Super League defeat.
