Manchester United's interim manager, Michael Carrick, has stated that no decision has been made regarding Marcus Rashford's future at the club. The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, with a £26m option to buy clause in his contract. However, with reports suggesting that Barcelona may not exercise this option due to the high price, Carrick has left the door open for Rashford's potential return to Old Trafford. Rashford has scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 43 appearances for Barcelona, but his recent form has been inconsistent.
Despite this, Manchester United are reportedly unwilling to renegotiate the fee with Barcelona, believing they could receive a higher offer from another club. Carrick has also hinted that the club may strengthen their left-wing position in the upcoming transfer window, with targets including RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye.
