Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarrell Quansah has stated that his decision to leave Liverpool for the German club was straightforward. The 23-year-old made the move last summer in a deal worth £35m after progressing through Liverpool's academy and making 58 appearances for the first team. Quansah signed a five-year contract with Leverkusen in pursuit of more playing time and has since made 38 appearances this season. In an interview with Sky Sports News, he attributed his decision to the Leverkusen management's clear plan for him, saying, 'They had a very detailed understanding of my abilities and the potential they believed I could reach, which aligned with my own thoughts.' Quansah expressed his desire to play at the top level, citing the Bundesliga and Champions League as significant attractions.
He also reflected on his departure from Liverpool, stating that he trusted his instincts and took the time to consider what was best for his career. Quansah is now focused on securing a spot in England's World Cup squad, aiming to 'attack' the remaining games of the season and prove himself on the pitch.
