World-renowned sprinter Usain Bolt has advised Australian teenage sprint phenom Gout Gout to remain concentrated on his athletic career amidst the distractions that come with fame. Gout, despite his youth, is already being likened to the Jamaican sprint legend and is considered a potential gold medal winner when the Olympics take place in Brisbane in 2032.

Recently, Gout secured first place in the 200 meters at the Australian Athletics Championships with a time of 19.67 seconds and also emerged victorious in the Under-20 100m event, completing it in 10.21 seconds. As the world record holder in the 200m with a time of 19.19 seconds and the 100m with a time of 9.58 seconds, Bolt cautioned Gout about the potential pitfalls of fame.

"At such a young age, I experienced it myself - you get pulled in different directions and can lose sight of your athletic goals," Bolt remarked in an interview with CNN. "I hope he has a supportive team to guide him and keep his priorities straight, as the other aspects of fame will always be present. However, if his athletic performance suffers, everything else will disappear." Gout is scheduled to make his Diamond League debut in the 200m event in Oslo on June 10, where he will compete against reigning Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo of Botswana.

He has also announced his decision to skip the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer to focus on the World Under-20 Championships in Oregon, set to take place in August.
