Ben Waterhouse, who has been with the team since 2017 as head of performance engineering, will take on an expanded leadership role as chief performance and design engineer, reporting directly to technical director Pierre Wache. This move is expected to enhance the integration between design and vehicle performance, accelerating the development of cutting-edge solutions. Meanwhile, Andrea Landi will join the team from Racing Bulls on July 1 as head of performance, bringing with him a wealth of experience, including his previous role as deputy technical director and his work with Ferrari as deputy head of vehicle performance.
Landi will report to Waterhouse. According to a statement from Red Bull, these changes align with the team's long-term technical objectives and demonstrate its commitment to nurturing internal talent while attracting top expertise from across the sport.
Following a challenging start to the new era of F1 regulations, Red Bull currently sits sixth in the Constructors' Championship, 119 points behind leaders Mercedes. The team has also experienced a series of high-profile staff departures in recent years, with key members joining rival teams.
