In a thrilling display, Kap Vert, trained by Philip Hobbs and Johnson White, claimed the prestigious Coral Scottish Grand National, outpacing Git Maker and Kim Roque. Under the skilled guidance of Sean Houlihan, the six-year-old demonstrated exceptional stamina and jumping prowess, despite being relatively inexperienced in fence racing.
Meanwhile, Midlands National winner Isaac Des Obeaux and Git Maker experienced notable setbacks due to jumping errors, with the latter almost unseating Jonathan Burke. However, Git Maker managed to recover and finish second, narrowly beating favourite Kim Roque. This significant win brought a £112,000 prize to Hobbs and White, making up for their earlier second-place finish in the Scottish Champion Hurdle with Captain Hugo.
