Joel Tomkins Leaves Catalans Dragons Due to Personal Circumstances

Joel Tomkins has announced his decision to resign from his position as head coach of Catalans Dragons, a role he held for nearly a year, citing personal reasons. The former England international found it challenging to be away from his family and made the decision to leave after a recent period back home. Tomkins initially took on the role as an interim coach but was soon appointed permanently. He expressed his gratitude for the experiences and friendships gained during his time at the club. Tomkins stated, 'My time at Catalans Dragons has been valuable, and I've learned a great deal, but being away from my family has been difficult.' He will be replaced by Ryan Sheridan, alongside assistant coaches Micky McIlorum and Mitchell Pearce, as interim head coach for the side's next game against Warrington Wolves on April 18.
