Welsh darts player Jonny Clayton praised Luke Littler's composure in the face of a hostile crowd in Rotterdam, as Clayton secured his second consecutive nightly win in the Premier League. Clayton's victory marked his fourth nightly win of the campaign, extending his lead at the top of the table to five points. He defeated world champion Littler, as well as home favorite Michael van Gerwen and Josh Rock, to claim the top spot at the Rotterdam Ahoy.
Clayton trailed 2-0 early on but made a strong comeback, taking three legs straight to take the lead. He later sealed the win with a clutch 78 outshot, despite Littler's efforts to stage a comeback. Clayton joked that he didn't want to praise Littler too much, saying 'he's got everything that every other player wishes for.' Littler, meanwhile, bolstered his chances of making the Play-Offs by reaching his fourth final in seven weeks, moving up to 24 points in the standings.
The Premier League continues next week at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, where the race for the Play-Offs will intensify.
