Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that they received the contract last week and are reviewing it, considering Joshua's recent involvement in a serious car accident in Nigeria. Hearn stated that Joshua is nearing a physical clearance to resume full training and a July return to the ring is expected.
There is speculation that Joshua's July bout could be against Deontay Wilder, with Hearn expressing interest in a potential 'back-to-back' fight against Wilder and then Fury. Wilder's camp, however, claims that no discussions have taken place yet.
