Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of RBC Heritage

Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the lead at the RBC Heritage after a stellar second round, carding an impressive 8-under-par 63. The English golfer, who won the 2022 US Open, made eight birdies without a single bogey, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole at Hilton Head. Fitzpatrick started the day in a six-way tie for third place, following an opening round of 65, but now tops the leaderboard at 14 under par. Norway's Viktor Hovland trails closely behind, just one stroke back, after scoring a 65 in the second round. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg fell to a joint-fourth position after encountering three bogeys on the back nine. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after a round of 68, while world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the pace with a score of 67.
