Hull KR Thrashes Toulouse, Leigh Secures Crucial Win Over York
Hull KR dominated Toulouse with eight tries, securing their third consecutive win in the Betfred Super League with a 46-0 victory. The visitors took an early lead with Elliot Minchella's try, and despite having another try disallowed, Rhyse Martin extended the lead to 12-0 after Toulouse failed to handle a high kick from Mikey Lewis. Hull KR doubled their score with tries on either side of halftime, with Tyrone May and Joe Burgess contributing to the 24-0 lead. The away team showed no mercy, with Lewis and Jez Litten combining for a fifth try, followed by Peta Hiku's interception and touchdown. Lewis set up Jai Whitbread for the seventh try, and Joe Burgess added his second to seal the win, condemning Toulouse to their sixth straight defeat. Meanwhile, Leigh returned to winning ways with an 18-6 victory over York. Adrian Lam's side had won only one of their previous four matches but came out on top at the LNER Community Stadium. Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a traded first-half tries, with Adam Cook's penalty giving Leigh an 8-6 halftime lead. Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke scored in the second half to help Leigh secure the win and climb to 10th in the table.
