Conor Benn has stated that a WBC title fight against Ryan Garcia is his top priority, but he's also being pursued by other prominent fighters. Benn recently signed a multi-year deal with Zuffa Boxing and defeated Regis Prograis in his debut for the company. As the mandatory challenger for Garcia's WBC welterweight title, Benn believes he has numerous options for his next fight. 'Of course, the Garcia fight is the priority, but I'm not lacking in alternatives,' Benn said.
'Many big-name fighters are now calling me out, and if Ryan doesn't want the fight, there are plenty of other opportunities available.' Benn, who avenged his only loss against Chris Eubank Jr in November, has been amused by the reaction to his victory over Prograis. He noted that several fighters who were silent after his win over Eubank are now eager to face him. Zuffa Boxing's head, Dana White, is open to arranging a 'fun' fight between Benn and Garcia, and the company has also signed former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith. White plans to recruit more top British fighters in the coming weeks, including young and up-and-coming talent.
