Veteran England lock Joe Launchbury has confirmed that he will be hanging up his boots at the end of the current season. With 70 international caps to his name, Launchbury has had a storied career, claiming three Six Nations championships and participating in two Rugby World Cups. Following a stint with Wasps, Launchbury joined Quins in 2023, making 50 appearances, although his time on the pitch has been limited to just six games this term.

However, he feels that his body is telling him it's time for a break, and he's eager to explore new opportunities while being present for his children's growth. Although he hopes to remain involved in the sport, for now, Launchbury is looking forward to the next chapter in his life.
