Hollie Doyle is looking forward to a busy Saturday of racing in her latest blog. She will be riding two promising young horses, Niewiadoma and Merlier, at Thirsk. Niewiadoma, a two-year-old daughter of Cotai Glory, will be making her debut in the British EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes.
Doyle has been impressed with the filly's natural speed and lovely attitude. Merlier, who has been progressive on the All-Weather, will be competing in the Stirrup Bar For Deli-Style Dining Packages Handicap.
Doyle is also excited to be riding for veteran northern trainer Wilf Storey on his course and distance winner Idylic. Meanwhile, at Newbury, Doyle is hoping that Eve Johnson Houghton's Zavateri can keep his Classic dreams alive in the Watership Down Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham Stakes.
Zavateri sets the standard after a win in the Group 1 National Stakes in Ireland. Doyle believes that Shadwell's Touleen is better than she showed in the Rockfel last autumn and could go well in the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes. She also expects Urban Lion to confirm his form in the Win Unique Experiences At OLBG Prizes Spring Cup Handicap.
