Under the skilled guidance of Sean Houlihan, the six-year-old Kap Vert demonstrated impressive form, his jumping technique withstanding scrutiny despite his limited experience over fences. Meanwhile, Midlands National winner Isaac Des Obeaux and Git Maker both suffered significant setbacks due to jumping errors, with Git Maker nearly unseating Jonathan Burke before recovering to finish second, narrowly ahead of favourite Kim Roque.
