American golfer Bryson DeChambeau has withdrawn from the ongoing LIV Golf Mexico City tournament, citing a wrist injury. DeChambeau, who has won two LIV Golf events this season, was 16 strokes behind leader Jon Rahm after the third round. In a statement, he expressed his disappointment and stated that he will take a few days to get evaluated, hoping to recover in time for LIV Golf Virginia. DeChambeau's withdrawal comes at a time when the LIV Golf League is facing uncertainty due to reports of potential financial backing withdrawal from the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
Despite this, LIV Golf chief executive Scott O'Neil has assured that the league is funded through the season and will work to secure its future. The next LIV Golf League event is scheduled to take place from May 7-10 at Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC.
