Lando Norris remains optimistic about McLaren's chances of defending their world titles when the F1 season resumes at the Miami Grand Prix, despite a slow start. The reigning champion believes the team can still "push hard" to close the gap with Mercedes and Ferrari, thanks to the almost five-week break that allowed teams to work on their cars. Norris, who trails early championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 47 points, is confident that McLaren can turn their season around, citing past examples where the team has overcome similar challenges. He emphasized the importance of addressing reliability issues and getting more time on the track to develop the car. Team-mate Oscar Piastri also expressed confidence in the team's ability to get back into regular victory contention, stating that closing the gap to Mercedes is within their control. With 19 races remaining, both drivers are eager to see what the team can achieve, starting with the Miami Grand Prix on May 1-3.
