This victory propelled the Rhinos to the top of the Super League table on points difference, while the Giants dropped to 11th place. Despite Huddersfield's recent wins against Wigan Warriors and York Knights following the departure of their head coach Luke Robinson, the Rhinos proved too strong, extending their own winning streak to three games. The match began with Huddersfield showing promise, as George King scored an early try. However, the Rhinos took control, with Croft scoring the first of his four tries, followed by Jarrod O'Connor, who used his cunning to put Leeds in front. The Rhinos continued to dominate, with tries from Jack Bird and Ryan Hall, who achieved a milestone 250th try for Leeds. Lachie Miller added to the Rhinos' tally with a clever chip and chase. Just before halftime, the Giants managed to score through Jacob Dougles, but the Rhinos maintained a significant 28-10 lead. Although Huddersfield fought back through Jacob Gagai, the Rhinos remained unstoppable, with Maika Sivo and Croft scoring further tries. Olly Russell's late try for the hosts was too little, too late, as the Giants succumbed to defeat. Despite the impressive win, Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur expressed concern over his team's defensive performance, emphasizing the need for greater urgency and desperation. Arthur stated, 'We need to care more about our defense. It's not good enough. The boys were a bit flat in the sheds on the back of that defensive performance.'
