Manchester United's interim boss, Michael Carrick, has stated that the club has yet to make a decision regarding Marcus Rashford's future at Old Trafford. The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, with a £26m option to buy clause included in the deal. However, with Barcelona reportedly hesitant to make the deal permanent at that price, Carrick has left the door open for Rashford's potential return to United. Rashford has scored 12 goals and assisted 13 in 43 appearances for Barcelona but has faced criticism for his recent performances.
Carrick emphasized that decisions regarding Rashford's future will be made in due time, saying, 'There are decisions to be made in time on certain things. Marcus is in that situation.' United are confident that they can receive a higher fee for Rashford elsewhere if Barcelona refuse the previously agreed terms.
Meanwhile, Carrick has also revealed that the club has had conversations regarding recruitment, with a focus on strengthening the left-wing position. RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye are reportedly high on United's list of targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
