Hollie Doyle Blog: Gearing Up for the Derby with Wareeth

I'm set to ride in several exciting races at Newmarket's Craven meeting, including the Listed Feilden Stakes on Derby hopeful Wareeth. My standout ride for the week, Wareeth, will take a significant step up in class after his impressive 14-length win in a novice race at Newcastle last month. Although he doesn't currently hold a Derby entry, his performance has been delightful, and I'm eager to see how he fares in the Feilden Stakes. Wareeth will face stiff competition, including Aidan O'Brien's Isaac Newton, who boasts an edge in experience and holds a Derby entry, and Godolphin's Poseidon's Warrior, who also makes the leap from novice company. All three colts are entered in the traditional Derby trial, the Group 2 Dante at York. I'm also looking forward to riding ZOULU CHIEF in the Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap, as he's been performing well on the All-Weather over the winter. Another notable ride is HARLEQUIN BREEZE in the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes, a tough daughter of New Bay who has shown impressive form. IMPOSSIBLE MISSION will need to prove himself on turf in the National Stud Handicap, while LADY FIZZ makes her debut in the Molson Coors British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes. On Thursday, I'll ride PRINCE OF INDIA in the Zyn Abernant Stakes, a powerfully built colt with potential in stakes sprints. I'm also expecting big things from Hawk Mountain in the Group 3 Betway Craven Stakes, and Karl Burke's Boiling Point returns to turf in the Group 3 Betway Earl Of Sefton Stakes.
