Jonny Clayton strengthened his position at the top of the Premier League Darts standings with a 6-4 win over Luke Littler in the Night 11 final in Rotterdam. This victory marked Clayton's fourth nightly win in the 2026 campaign, following his successes in Glasgow, Nottingham, and Brighton. Clayton now has a five-point advantage at the top of the table, with 29 points, while Littler is in second place with 24 points.
Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen are in third and fourth places, respectively. Littler had previously silenced the Rotterdam crowd, who had booed him during his walk-on, by winning his quarter-final match against Price.
However, he was unable to secure the victory in the final, despite a strong performance. The night also saw the first appearance of two Dutch players in the Premier League since 2019, but both Gian van Veen and van Gerwen lost in the quarter-finals. Clayton expressed his determination to prove his critics wrong, stating that he had watched the previous week's final and was annoyed by comments suggesting he was the favorite to finish at the bottom of the Premier League. He praised Littler, calling him an 'amazing darts player,' but emphasized that he still has the skills to compete at the top level.
Clayton's path to the final included a 6-5 win over Josh Rock in the semi-finals and a dominant 6-2 victory over van Gerwen. Littler, on the other hand, started his night with a 6-3 win over Price and then held off a fightback from Luke Humphries to secure a 6-5 victory.
The Premier League Darts continues every Thursday until May, with defending champion Luke Humphries seeking to retain his title.
