Meanwhile, Midlands National winner Isaac Des Obeaux and Git Maker faced setbacks due to jumping errors, with the latter recovering to finish second, just a length and a half behind Kap Vert. This victory brought significant compensation for Hobbs and White, who earlier finished second in the Scottish Champion Hurdle with Captain Hugo, taking home the £112,000 first prize.
