Haye: Fury and Joshua Are Mutually Beneficial

According to former world heavyweight champion David Haye, the time has come for Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to finally face each other in the ring. As a two-weight world titlist and former star of British heavyweight boxing, Haye believes that this highly anticipated fight is essential for both boxers' legacies. Haye expressed his conviction, stating, "This is the biggest fight they could possibly have, and they should be pushing for it. They both need each other for different reasons, primarily to cement their legacies and prove who is the better fighter." Both Fury and Joshua have recently suffered losses to Oleksandr Usyk, with Fury returning to boxing after a year-long hiatus and Joshua resuming training after a car accident. Despite being past their prime, Haye thinks that the fight's commercial appeal could be higher now than ever before, drawing comparisons to the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout. With talks underway for a potential fight this year, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that they have received a contract for the Fury fight, which is currently under discussion. Haye acknowledges that Fury's recent 12 rounds with Arslanbek Makhmudov could serve as ideal preparation for the Joshua fight, given their similar physical attributes and fighting style.
