Nicky Richards Aims for Ninth Consecutive Win at Hexham

Following an impressive eight-win streak, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for the National Hunt event on Monday. Jamesieconn, chasing a fourth consecutive victory, will participate in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase. Having previously shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground at Carlisle, the seven-year-old has been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100. Despite the additional weight, Danny McMenamin's mount may still rise to the challenge. Streamsforth Lad, although yet to claim a win, has placed in various events and remains at a mark of 97 after displaying improvement at Bangor. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will attempt to build on the trainer's recent success, having achieved a level-stakes profit of +298 over the last two weeks. Nicky Richards' Young Getaway will make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, looking to extend his team's remarkable winning streak. That One, also making his debut over fences, will be ridden by Jack Power, who has a 5lbs claim that could prove beneficial. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination will field two runners, Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having shown consistent form in recent starts. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed success in the past. Wicket Keeper, having finished fourth in his latest outing, will look to improve, while Paddy's Day will wear a tongue-tie for the first time under Nigel Tinkler. Albasheer, a previous Constantine Handicap winner, will be ridden by Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won his last event, will participate in the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4:30 pm.
