Crystal Palace Overcomes Fiorentina Comeback to Advance to Conference League Semifinals

Crystal Palace secured a spot in the Conference League semifinals with a 4-2 aggregate victory over Fiorentina, despite losing the second leg 2-1 in Florence. After taking an early lead with Ismaila Sarr's header, Palace faced a strong comeback from the Italian side, who scored on either side of the substitutions of Adam Wharton and Maxence Lacroix due to injuries. Although Fiorentina's performance improved from the first leg, it was not enough to prevent Palace from reaching their first European semifinal, where they will face Shakhtar Donetsk. Palace became the fifth English club to reach the Conference League last four, following in the footsteps of Chelsea, West Ham, Leicester, and Aston Villa.
